Separately we have been asked to give a bit of guidance on different factions...so we wanted to introduce to you Clan TAKEDA
For 500 years the Takeda name has rung strong in the Island of Japan. A proud and valiant name that served the Shogunate well, and is remembered for its valor in suppressing the Uesugi Zenshu rebellion. But the Shogun seat is now powerless and the Sengoku Jidai rages across Japan. It is at this time that the greatest general of Takeda’s history has taken leadership of the clan, calling himself Takeda Shingen.
From his seat in central Japan, the “Tiger of Kai” is poised to strike. For many years he has been honing his army and skill in ritual encounters with his most respected enemy, Uesugi Kenshin. But now, as the upstart Oda Nobunaga seems intent on marching on the capital, the Takeda clan will raise to stop him…and in the process maybe secure the Shogun mantle for itself!
The Takeda armies are feared across Japan. The bravery of their Samurai and the tactical brilliance of its generals have led it to countless victories. But it is the Takeda Samurai Cavalry that strikes fear into the hearts of any that oppose this mighty clan. Early in transitioning from horse archery to lance formations the Takeda have mastered the art of “Norikuzishi”, a terrifying massed lancer charge capable of breaking through the enemy like a tanto knife through rice cakes.
A Takeda force will need to be balanced, just like the wind, forest, Fire and Mountain in its motto. A smart general will use its well trained and equipped ashigaru, with Teppo, Yumi and Yari, to strengthen his line. But with some of the best shock cavalry in Japan and the ability to field a higher number of it than most clans, it will be well timed cavalry charges that carry the day for clan Takeda…or badly planned ones that extinguish its fire…

-Enhanced Mounted Yari Samurai (improved massed charge skill)
-Higher proportion of Mounted Samurai (Yari, Naginata, Yumi)
-Unique troop type Onna Bugeisha (Female Samurai) - both on foot and mounted
-Average trained Ashigaru (Yari, Yumi, Teppo)
-Standard Samurai armament options (Yari or Naginata)
-Improved Tsukaiban (Messengers)
-Mounted Hatamoto with Naginata (guard)
-Well equipped clan with great options of armor upgrades and downgrades

We have one developed in our expansion "Fields of Blood" with two pre-generated scenarios (FIELDS of BLOOD - Fighting Hedgehog | Wargame Vault) , as well as rules for built up areas, sieges and assaults see below a Full play of the second solo scenario "Barbarians at the Gates":
